Final antenna tower component lifted in place on WTC-1 - Wednesday, February 13, 2013 :: ENGLISH

New York – The final antenna tower component (originating from the Port of Valleyfield, Quebec) was lifted in place today atop the new World Trade Centre. While the antenna components may not have been a very large job for the firms operating the Port, being part of the building of this magnificent structure and what it stands for make all the crew of Valport, the Port offices and the fabricator (ADF Group) rather proud.

The New World Trade Centre will stand proud and over time remain a profound symbol of resilience of our strong neighbours to the south. The antenna will become the beacon for the memories of the 3000 people who lost their lives in 9-11.

Thanks to Richard Gilbert, of DCM Erectors for providing us this up-to-the-moment photo of the lift.
